the unshelled shrimp bit
at the tail end will taste best
than the fat front end*
*(Those hobbled by sensibilities might insist shelled shrimp much better, but they were not at that particular shrimp-roast, where shell-on crustacea came prepared to play. Oh, sure, you could pull the legs and their transparent segments off easily, and if you insist: pinch the tail end first and pull the last two segments away and the sticky parts will remain. But grilled salt-n-pepper shrimp are meant to be eaten entire! Crunchy! Tasty!
