    • Devout Buddhist Bruce Jewett carries equal love for both his spiritual selves. He used to smoke his cigarette (two or three yearly) like Artie Shaw on That Was The Week That Was U.S. broadcast television primetime show (as in faux German high command style holding the cancer stick from the top with two fingers and a thumb, all the while flogging his fake accent below his steel-rimmed glasses and gleeful gloating grin. I am sure he will be thrilled to know a real live – how did you put it? – Sex’Mance? novelist liked his angels-and-demons theme.

    • Aha! “Smexy” novels. So much better than Sex’Mance. Bruce will be joyed-over he has drawn such attention. I keep a spare pallet of ego-balloon-popping needles (usually for me but in this case…) for just such occasions!

    • You keep handing out the tougher tasks to me…and I work so hard at my “Imm-s!” Next month I plan to toil on my other behaviors: too many people – most friends – when I say “Behave,” they cringe and look askance. To them I intone: It’s just a Null Value term: behavior is what You make of if. Currently I am working on Reprehensible, but I am willing to loan out Dispicable if you promise to return it in good condition…” A Modest Marine: novel concept there, dear lady.

  1. I hast decided to forego his self-imposed modesty routine and tell him he has an admirer who clings to Scottish Highlands’ crags and cliffs, and she sloucheth not when it comes her own credentials as a writer and wringer of words. He perches atop The San Andreas Fault at Mountain View, California, and sends me worried-for-yous about a sub-tropical storm squirting me with some of its water and but a little of its breeze…and he swims horribly and suffers high surf not at all well yet lives near a landslide into San Francisco Bay and further the unpacific Pacific. What friends I have managed to keep I must treasure though they be bonkers past belief…or is that what they said last of – and to! – me?
