“Next Big Wind”

Next big wind here’bouts

well may have brown dead tree-parts

playing hop with yard.*

  • (A good portion of Hurricane – mostly Tropical Storm by Sanford – Irma remains dead and brown high up in our oak trees and sway and dangle in the gentle pre-winter coldfront breezes.  A decent-sized blow well may bring the beasties – some larger than six feet long and as much again across but most merely strong headache-sized – down atop cars, roofs, children and school buses.  I sit not under such dangers, opting instead for the honest mugger, run-amok heart-attacked pickup truck driver or my weekly visitation of just what I one day expect to know.)
