“ThanksGone-n-ChristmasGetting”

Thanksgone: now it’s time

for the Christmasgetting lights

amidst antique lamps*.

  • (I was tempted to use this third line: “amidst antique alleys*”, thus completing the alliterative.  I was taught a half-century ago alliteration included three – at least! – same-vowel beginning words in consecutive order, not Alex Trebek’s paltry pair of consonant – or whatever – word-starters.  Forgive me, Mr. Trebek: What is alliteration?”)
