Can’t pee for th’fear,

won’t eat ’cause I got just these ‘utes.’

And soon I stalk death.

pickin’ at a scab

hard enough I must scratch through:

that would be sumpin’

wamb beer and wet wind

not there but here…don’t matter

war is where you are


“Want My Mountains!”


I want my mountains:

these seagreen rice fields steal souls!

Up there…it’s all cold.*
